Job Description: 

AECOM seeks a design staff member with approximately 0-5 years of experience for our Orange County Studio. 

About AECOM

We offer a pleasant work environment in our recently renovated office in the City of Orange, great clients and projects, state-of-the-art computers and software, and an award winning portfolio of governmental, civic, police, detention and courthouse facilities including the Long Beach Court Building, Pima County Courthouse, Westminster Police Station, Inland Empire Transportation Management Center, Wayne County Detention Center, and N232 Building at NASA Ames.

At AECOM’s Orange County Design Studio you’ll be part of collaborative, multi-disciplinary, research-oriented design team. Most importantly, you will be recognized for your contributions.

Our in-house disciplines in our studio include: architects, structural engineers, mechanical/electrical engineers, fire protection engineers, our High Performance Building team (national center), master planning, landscape architecture, environmental engineers, and economics.

What are the requirements?

The ideal candidate will have strong design sensibilities with excellent presentation skills, both verbal and visual. The candidate will be responsible for working with senior design and technical staff translating direction from project design and management leads into conceptual, schematic and design development packages, and moving into the production of construction documents. The candidate should meet the following requirements:

 

·    A professional degree (M.Arch or B.Arch)

·    Solid portfolio of design demonstrating personal design experience and capability in corporate commercial, government, and/or educational projects.

·    Candidates with 2 years recent experience using Autodesk Revit will be given priority

·    Fluidity with three dimensional modeling software [SketchUp is required, Rhino is a plus]

·    Experience with rendering software [3D Studio Max or V-Ray is desired]

·    Strong two dimensional computer graphics skills [Adobe Creative Suite a plus]

·    Experience with project phases from schematic through construction administration is desired
