Minimum Requirements:
• High school diploma (or equivalent) and demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience
• Eight years of progressive experience in the construction industry at least two years of which were associated with projects at institutions of higher education
• Familiarity with and ability to use project management and office software systems, such as Prolog, Expedition, Constructware, and Word, Excel, etc.
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

THIS IS A CONTINGENT HIRE POSITION
The Infrastructure and Environment Division of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented senior construction inspector to support the University of Maryland College Park. The qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in providing a wide range of construction inspection services at institutions of higher learning. The Senior Inspector will support the University on a wide range of typical field construction issues; coordinating outages; reviewing and recommending progress payments; preparing daily construction reports, coordinating progress meetings; resolving field construction issues and, in general, ensuring that the contractor carries out the approved plans and specifications on schedule and within budget. The Senior Inspector will report to the Construction Manager. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to those listed above.
