Minimum Requirements: URS Corporation (www.urs.com) intends to be the contractor of choice to provide PMATS support services with aircrew operational training (pilots and operators) including initial qualification training, mission qualification training, and continuation training.
Vocational/Technical school and at least 6 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Excellent communication and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. Requires the ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. Position requires routine travel to current PMATS operational sites or upcoming sites
Desired Qualifications:
Possess an Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. Familiar with Windows XP/Vista/2000/Win7, FORTRAN, C/C++, UNIX (LINUX), "MOOG" electric motion systems, Medallion-S, "SEOS" or "VDC" visual systems, SW/PCIG, HLA, or Enterprise Network (SW/HW/ Ethernet / Firewire cabling ARINC 429 data bus) or equivalent. Experience with USAF training systems a plus. Possess a current Secret security clearance.
Job Description: URS is seeking a Field Service Engineering Technologist to provide support services for the Predator Mission Aircrew Training System (PMATS) at Holloman AFB, New Mexico. This opportunity is contingent upon award to URS of the Predator Mission Aircrew Training Systems (PMATS) contract, anticipated in March 2013.
Provide technical support in a variety of engineering assignments in the development, research design, manufacture, test installation, modification, and operation of diverse electronic/mechanical equipment and systems as member of a PMATS Install team.
Essential Responsibilities: 1. Perform design development or review tasks in specific areas under supervision. 2. Assist in generation of specifications, engineering and related documentation. 3. Assist with installation, test and service equipment and systems at Company and client sites. 4. Assist with maintenance of filing system, databases and logs as needed for tracking project status and inventory. 5. Support engineers in the development of technical proposals. 6. Provide support with on-site customer interface for equipment/system installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
