Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited school
• Must have passed the Florida EIT examination
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong work ethic and strong desire to learn
• Some experience with Microstation or AutoCad
• Must be interested in development of road and highway design from concept to final construction documents
• Valid driver's license required
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
Job Description:
This position will be part of the Miami Office Roadway Department, which supports a wide range of transportation and site development projects in south Florida.
Particular design elements include: horizontal and vertical alignments, signing and pavement markings, traffic control plans, drainage analysis and design, cross sections and roadway plans preparation.
The designer will utilized Microstation, AutoCad and any other engineering software required for the roadway design.
