Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Mining Engineering or similar degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a project engineer
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing plant including: chemical, refining or pulp and paper
• Experience with plant projects: from preliminary to final design stages, to installation and construction oversight
• Demonstrated technical engineering skills
• Understanding and experience in working in a safe work place
• Understanding of the value of quality work ethic and performing work in a quality manner which demonstrates the concepts of continuous improvement
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to work under the supervision of client representatives in a plant setting
• Must obtain negative result on drug screen performed in accordance with URS drug testing policy
• Some travel required
• Valid driver's license required
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test


Job Description:

URS Corporation is recruiting for an In-Plant Project Engineer for a facility in White Springs, Florida.

Responsibilities:
• Project Engineer will work directly for our URS client at the client's facility
• Provide engineering technical services or construction oversight related to the client's plant projects
• Responsibilities for capital/plant projects, include: performing necessary analyses, calculations, and evaluations using common practice methods to provide solutions and recommendations to client's needs
• Providing project scoping, estimating costs, and scheduling and coordination and understanding of client procurement policies and procedures
• Performing audits or assisting client in addressing 3rd party audit deficiencies or other undefined services for the client
• Regular communication with client will be needed to perform and to understand needs of services
• Regular communication with URS client management providing feedback for the purposes of understanding client's needs and providing improvement to services provided to client
