Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering discipline and 10 years of experience. Senior level experience with Marine Corps Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health and System Safety methodology and processes required.

Excellent written communication skills, strong organizational skills are also required.

Job Description:

URS is seeking a Senior Safety Engineer to provide Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health (ESOH) and system safety engineering support to the Marine Corps Weapon and Vehicle Systems.

Candidate will be responsible for performing senior leadership activities and providing guidance to ensure that ESOH and system safety required activities are conducted for various acquisition programs. These activities may include providing guidance and input in the development of a Safety Program (for various ACAT categories), hazard analysis, development of WSESRB data packages and briefs, safety releases, hazard analysis and tracking, and risk acceptance, dependent upon program milestone. Candidate should have thorough knowledge of MIL-STD-882, MCSCO 5100.29, a thorough understanding of PESHE requirements and NEPA to include Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements and perform other duties as assigned.
