Job Description:  CH2M HILL Oracle iProcurement Catalog Manager – Denver, Colorado

As the Oracle iProcurement Catalog Manager for the firm, you will be a member of a global indirect procurement team with responsibilities related to establishing and maintaining global hosted and punch-out catalogs, while also supporting local and regional indirect procurement activity within North America. Our indirect procurement organization supports the internal procurement operations of the Company.

Our Oracle iProcurement Catalog Manager job provides you with a ground floor opportunity be a part of a new single instance, global Oracle ERP implementation including support to our indirect procurement organization.
The challenge of the Oracle iProcurement Catalog Manager is to optimize transactional efficiency by ensuring current, accurate and complete contract content exists in end-user catalogs. As the Oracle iProcurement Catalog Manager you will interface frequently with Category Managers, systems support personnel, and suppliers. You will work within newly established procurement systems, policies and procedures for indirect procurement throughout the region and be responsible for achieving defined annual cost savings by utilizing all levers of the assigned indirect spend categories such as rate (price paid), service level agreement, rationalization, demand management, and compliance management.

You should be a procurement professional with experience in maintaining hosted and punch-out catalogs within integrated procurement systems, possess sourcing and procurement experience in one or more indirect procurement spend categories and have the desire to grow personally and professionally with each project.

Our Oracle iProcurement Catalog Manager will:
  • Support catalog development within the legal entities in the Approved Countries.
  • Globally manage catalog content and provide expertise regarding punch-out and CIF (Catalog Interchange Format) catalog structure, requirements, and searching parameters.
  • Ensure accuracy of the catalog content via catalog maintenance including description changes, image updates, and item deletions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and user guides in collaboration with IT.
  • Assist Category Managers in establishing contractual requirements by supplier agreement for providing and maintaining catalog content.
  • Monitor off-catalog transaction volumes for opportunities to create catalogs to maximize “touch-less" transactions
  • Coordinate quality assurance testing, and work with Category Managers and stakeholders to design end-to-end spend category processes.
  • Develop strategies and processes for working with catalog content in multiple languages.
  • Be responsible for assigned indirect procurement sourcing and transactions.
  • Use superior interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with managers and functional partners at all levels of the organization.
  • Effectively plan and lead sourcing and negotiation strategy. Negotiate or manage the negotiation of contract terms and conditions, pricing, service levels, and performance standards to meet desired outcomes.
  • Perform savings tracking, and report realized savings on a continuous base; ensure realized savings tie back to departmental budgets.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, computer science, finance, management, accounting, or related field; or 6 years of progressive experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 4 years experience including contract negotiation, procurement, supply chain management and source selection.
  • Experience supporting integrated procurement systems.
  • Proven skills in all phases of supply chain management including source selection, contract negotiation, procurement, administration, performance management and closeout of complex procurement agreements

Preferred Qualifications


In addition to the basic qualifications, the following are also preferred:
  • Knowledge of HTML, cXML, OCI, or any other communication protocol.
  • Masters degree in supply chain, computer science, finance, management, or accounting
  • Leadership and influence are exercised through participation in task forces and peer teams
  • Well organized individual with excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to perform job functions with considerable independence and judgment
  • 8+ years progressive experience within Indirect Procurement spend categories including Accounting, Facilities, Fleet, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Software, Telephony and Travel
  • Strong global supply chain experience
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Version 12 procurement application suite
