Physical Demands • General office environment; may require visits to project sites • Some heavy lifting ( • Field office work will require reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a good driving record Job Description: • Performs a range of transportation demand management, marketing, and planning-related projects, aimed at enhancing opportunities for individual travelers, commuters, and/or students to utilize non-drive-alone means of transportation, including carpooling, vanpooling, public transit, bicycling, walking, telecommuting, and other options • Develop, promote, and/or implement a range of worksite and/or schools-based operational programs aimed at improving business operations and/or reducing on-site pollutants, to improve overall air quality and mitigate traffic congestion • Outreach activities will be conducted predominantly at worksites and organizations throughout the greater New Haven and Groton-New London regions of Connecticut
Responsible for managing the project operations, including but not limited to: • Determines the appropriate sources and methods for the accumulation of research related to assignments • Provides TDM services to employers, schools, travelers, students, and others • Summarizes TDM information and prepares draft presentation papers or research reports • Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced TDM professional • Assignments usually include one or more of the following: Research, TDM outreach, or public relations and other activities of limited scope requiring knowledge of TDM principles and techniques commonly utilized • Conducts peer reviews and makes technical presentations
