Job Description:
Work within a project team environment, interfacing and communicating with other design team members.
Perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment under the supervision of experienced engineers in the design of electrical systems for government and commercial facilities.
Design of electrical distribution systems.
Perform building lighting and load calculations.
Analysis and selection of electrical equipment.
Use computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
Prepare and develop designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings.
Field investigations.
Implement and follow Company Quality Management System Procedures.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
Completion of classes in Electrical Power and/or Lighting Design.
0-2 years Electrical design with emphasis on Power and/or Lighting system design.
Experience in performing electrical engineer duties including development of concept design, preparation of construction documents, and construction inspections is desired.
Registered Engineer-In-Training desired.
LEED Accredited Professional desired.
Experience or capable to learn the basics of CADD/BIM design, Electrical Lighting Calculation programs, and Excel. Training opportunities available for the right candidate. *LI-JW1
