Responsible for driving sales and profit within store through the delivery of exceptional customer service, brand management, stock management, people management and development and ensuring adherence to company procedure and policy relating to the protection of company assets and brand.
PRIMARY JOB TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES
•Achieve sales budget and KPI’s as determined by the business
•Deliver a customer focused store experience through the Inspire the Customer programme, that ensures customer loyalty and builds the reputation of The Body Shop brand.
•Review business performance and have clear action plans for improvement that include a timely review process.
•Attract and retain people who reflect the brand
•Identifying high potential to ensure succession planning
•Train coach and develop the store team based on the priorities and demands of the business.
•Utilize all available tools to develop the team
•Lead by example and act as a role model for the team.
•Manage people in accordance with our policies and our values. Treat others as you would wish to be treated.
•Be open, honest and constructive when engaging with the team.
•Communicate with the store team in an effective, inclusive and timely manner.
•Observe and coach the store team to react to store performance
•Ensure store practices comply with Company HR Policies and procedures. Ensure stores practices comply with current Health and Safety legislation
•React quickly to performance issues and use all available tools and processes
•Liaise, where appropriate, with Regional Manager and HRBP
•Demonstrate the ability to self develop
•Act as a coach and mentor for the team
•Ensure the appearance of the store team is in accordance with the Company policy

•Ensure all layouts and events are launched and maintained according to the current event guidelines
•Instill pride in the team for the products and the store
•Deliver operational excellence
•Ensure all administration is compliant with Company policies and procedures
•Control payroll within budget
•Utilize payroll planning tools to accurately forecast staffing needs in line with payroll budgets
•Manage controllable costs to maximize store profit
•Control shrinkage within store budgets and report any security issues/threats to staff safety through the Company incident reporting systems
•Maintain the high ethical standards of The Body Shop
•To perform other related duties as assigned or requested
•To maintain strict levels of confidentiality with regard to all levels of the business
•A flexibility towards hours and location will be required to manage the needs of the business
ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
•Store management experience, preferably in the Retail or Service Sector.
•Proven people management, communication and leadership skills.
•Exceptional planning and organizing skills.
•Proven successful track record in delivering service, sales and profit expectations
