CH2M HILL Senior Manufacturing Quality Surveillance Equipment Engineer (Mechanical) - Newington, NH(Westinghouse Plant) The challenge? Our Senior Manufacturing Quality Surveillance Equipment Engineer (Mechanical) provides you with an opportunity to work on an exciting and large-scale nuclear project. Each day you will be the face of CH2M HILL as you become an important part of a team where you will provide Quality Surveillance Oversight of the Contractor and his Sub-Contractors/Suppliers in the manufacturing of permanent plant materials for the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation's (ENEC's) Nuclear Program to ensure compliance with Safety and Quality objectives and regulations as applied in the UAE to meet the required expectations. You should be a self-motivated professional with at least 20 years experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Quality Surveillance, have a bachelors degree or equivalent experience, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each Quality Surveillance job. Our Senior Manufacturing Quality Surveillance Equipment Engineer (Mechanical) will: •Supporting the theme of Plan-Do-Check-Act process, and reflecting this in department procedures, processes and execution of the BNPP works. • Performs quality surveillance oversight of the Prime Contractor (PC) in all aspects of procurement and manufacturing of nuclear materials • Ensures that the Contractor quality group/team is performing the work in the safest manner with achieving the highest quality • Oversees the Contractor Supplier quality processes and ensures that best practices and efficiency are utilized in maintaining the quality of the work • Advises the PC regarding quality performance issues and discusses proposed corrective actions to achieve required results • Oversees the Contractor quality management processes for training, employing staff, and staff retention to ensure assigned personnel are qualified for the work they are performing • Ensures that manufacturing activities are being performed by the Contractor and his sub-suppliers in accordance with the engineering design requirements and project contract agreements • Reviews and provides recommendations for the Contractor quality processes and procedures and supports the review of manufacturing procedures • Communicates with the Contractor to ensure information is shared and all participants are fully informed of the methods and practices used in the project execution • Attends Contractor quality meetings and participates in all subject initiatives • Interfaces with the other internal departments within the CPO Division (including Contracts, Construction, Engineering, Planning, Material Management and Commissioning) and other (e.g. Quality Assurance and Health, Safety and Security - HSE) to ensure that and issues are being addressed with the PC in the execution of the project • Provide the review and acceptance of the Contractor / Sub-contractor ITP in order to ensure the appropriate identification of relevant work to be inspected/tested, by whom and at what stage or frequency. • Identify ENEC Witness / Hold Points to help ensure that work is being carried out to the required standards and requirements while keeping all records • Undertake the necessary initiatives to ensure that the Prime Contractor is following approved Inspection and Test Plans, in particular respecting "verification", "hold" and "witness points". • Provides assistance/interface with FANR representatives as necessary in order to facilitate their inspections / verifications & "Holds"/"Witness points" from ITPs • Facilitates communication both internally and externally in order to build and nurture mutually beneficial working relationships.
• Follow all relevant departmental HSE policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions to ensure HSE compliance in all aspects of work in accordance with sound management practices by applying these HSE policies and procedures to self and others to take reasonable care for the health and safety of people, or the environment, who are at the employee's place of work who may be affected by the employees acts or omissions at work.
Additional information: This position will sit in the Westinghouse Plant near Newington, NH. Basic Qualifications Basic Qualifications: High School education and relevant work experience in manufacturing of nuclear components. Professional qualification in Quality Management or equivalent 20 years of experience in Quality Surveillance or engineering experience for large capital industrial and or nuclear projects. Extensive Knowledge and understanding of the ASME Code as it relates to materials, equipment and the quality function Experience in Nuclear field. Project Management Systems and Tools. English fluency Good communication and reporting skills.
