Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science or Engineering, or related scientific field) and at least 6 years job related experience. Background with AN/SQQ-89 combat system interface design and functionality and AEGIS Combat System interfaces. Expert knowledge of Navy Interface Design Specification (IDS) content and binary coding practices. Experience writing IDS content and ability to translate conceptual interface design into IDS content. Experience analyzing interface problems. Must be able to work independently and communicate clearly via teleconference. Job Description: URS is seeking a Part-time Combat System Interface Engineer to augment existing staff in Dahlgren, VA, supporting the surface ship Undersea Warfare combat system.
