Minimum Requirements:

URS Corporation has an opportunity for qualified Stock Clerks in support of our U.S. Army helicopter RESET/MWO operations at our Ft. Wainwright site. Overtime is mandatory.

High School Diploma or equivalent with a valid drivers license. 6 months experience on supply and inventory required.

Knowledge of governing programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or established guidelines. Analytical ability to define problems, collect necessary data and establish facts and to take or recommend action based upon applicable established guidelines.

Must be able to meet physical demands of position and pass/maintain any related medical examination requirements required to perform assigned daily tasks.

SSA-SARS Training recommended.

Background for CAC Card required. There is no per diem or travel pay authorized for this position and no cola authorized either. Looking for local hires that meet the requirements of this position.

Job Description:

Receives, stores, and issues equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, foodstuffs, or tools, and compiles stock records of items in stockroom, warehouse or storage yard. Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice. Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.

Stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size or type of material. Fills orders or issues supplies from stock. Prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock.

Requisitions articles to fill incoming orders. Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.

May mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles. May distribute stock among production workers, keeping records of material issued. May make adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock. May cut stock to site to fill order.
