Minimum Requirements:
• Engineering degree (civil preferred) or equivalent in training and experience ( one year college work equals two years work experience )
• 5 years experience in civil related work, including some experience in sheet piling, foundation piling, and quality responsibilities in a civil construction environment.
• Demonstrated experience working in a marine environment, performing such activities as safely transferring from boats to barges, climbing ladders, and working at heights in inclement weather, and adverse river conditions at heights and above the water
• Willing to follow OSHA guidelines for three points of contact and to follow project safety standards
• Willing to work shifts

URS is looking for a Civil Marine Quality Engineer for the Olmsted Dam project in Olmsted, IL.

This individual will be the QC representative for monitoring marine activities to include sheet piling installation, foundation piling installation, underwater impact compaction, underwater excavation, and underwater backfill.
