Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or appropriate engineering discipline
• Minimum four years of relevant experience
• Minimum EIT
• Working knowledge of the NCDOT Roadway Design Manual and the AASHTO Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets
• Strong working knowledge of MicroStation and GEOPAK software
• Experience working independently on the development of a broad array of roadway projects from functional roadway design through final roadway design
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

Job Description:

The Infrastructure & Environmental Division of URS is actively seeking a Roadway Designer. This position will serve the Planning and Roadway Design departments of the Morrisville (Raleigh), North Carolina office.

The successful candidate will demonstrate progressive work experience, working independently on the development of a broad array of roadway projects from functional roadway design through final roadway design. The roadway designer will assist with preparing roadway geometric layouts and quantity take-offs. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to those listed above.
