Minimum Requirements:

• BS in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 12 year's experience of progressively greater responsibility in management and design of highway bridge projects.
• Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be an energetic self-starter with a strong work ethic.
• A solid understanding of AASHTO design standards and LRFD specifications is required.
• Licensed Louisiana PE and valid driver's license required.
• Ability to obtain Mississippi PE License within 6 months.
• LDOTD Experience with the states projects or work with the state.
• Demonstrate familiarity with AASHTO and LDOTD policies and procedures
• Proven ability using the industry standard in drafting, structural design, and structural analysis software.
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

Job Description:

Candidate will be responsible for managing the technical and business development activities of the bridge team with emphasis on state DOT clients. Candidate will be responsible for growing the bridge practice and directing a team of engineers and technicians.

Candidate will be involved in a variety of bridge projects including both new construction and maintenance of existing bridges. Projects will include conceptual studies, preliminary design, final design, reviewing designs and plans, preparation of specifications and cost estimates.
