Job Description: 
Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction management, Business Management or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years practical experience in the fields of engineering, architecture, transportation or construction
• Railroad related experience and experience with LIRR, Amtrak or MetroNorth Railroad
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software required
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage a small team
• Valid Driver's License
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test


Job Description:

• Deputy for all LIRR Harold Force Account construction activities. Provides management for LIRR Harold construction team on all matters related to LIRR Force Account construction and issues resolution. Works effectively in a fast-paced environment. Consistently prioritizes tasks and meets deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, attention to detail. Follow-through capability. Specifically:
• Manages assigned LIRR Force Account resources in support of the Harold Construction Manager
• Reports on project status and current issues to the Harold Construction Manager
• Reviews and recommends approval for all LIRR Force Account construction invoices
• Coordinates constructability reviews of design with LIRR engineering departments
• Manages and coordinates field construction issues between the LIRR and GEC
• Supports preparation of monthly field construction reports
• Works closely with field engineers to compile production rates
• Coordinates work planning activities with LIRR ensuring all necessary resources are planned for and onsite prior to commencement of work
• Attends weekly track outage meetings to coordinate track requirements for planned construction work
• The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to those stated above
