Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 9 years of experience in design of water resources related projects.
• Professional engineer with a Colorado PE or the ability to obtain one within six months.
• Experience managing projects and professional staff.

Additional Qualifications:
• Ability to work independently, think critically and proactively, and work efficiently in a team oriented fast-paced environment.
• Have strong organizational and time management skills.
• Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
• Have experience with hydraulic modeling and preparation of design drawings.
• Have project experience within the dam and mining industry.
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.


Job Description:

The position is for an individual willing to lead an existing water resources team in Denver, CO. The position emphasizes client interaction, professional staff development and representing and selling the Company's water resources related capabilities to a wide range of municipal, federal, and private sector clients. The position also involves analysis and design of a variety of water resources related projects and will specialize in water resources related to dam and mining projects. Example projects include design and construction of spillways and outlet works, dam breach analysis and flood inundation mapping, risk-based water balance modeling, mine reclamation and mine water management projects, and storm drainage conveyance and detention projects.

The position requires performing hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, conducting design calculations, preparing design drawings, specifications, reports, cost estimates, and proposals. The position requires working with multi-disciplinary design teams and involvement in multiple projects simultaneously.
