Job Description:  Our Building Information Modeling team is growing and seeking a Global BIM leader. By leading this effort, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to influence one of the world's largest Architectural and Engineering firms in the use of Building Information Modeling. Through our size and global reach you will have the unique opportunity to apply the technology in a variety of projects spanning the entire lifecycle of the AECOM portfolio.
Responsibilities:  


  • Drive global adoption of BIM technologies for AECOM
  • Review and analyze a variety of complex engineering/architectural methods to establish short/long-term strategies for BIM within AECOM
  • Provide leadership and guidance for BIM-based projects and programs
  • Coordinate activities, approaches, and standards with other AECOM end markets
  • Establish short/long term goals for staff development in the use of BIM
  • Establish future performance expectations by conducting regular review sessions with project teams and provide guidance on best application of BIM technologies
  • Development of BIM processes that support and enhance the practices within AECOM.
  • Continually align BIM procedures, processes and tools with industry best practices
  • Maintain active membership in appropriate professional organizations
  • Participate on national/international forums regarding BIM standards and protocols
  • Provide leadership to successfully plan and complete projects/programs while maintaining high professional standards
  • Responsible for the development of the BIM standards for AECOM
  • Enable a QC/QC process to ensure that BIM standards are being followed
  • Establish and maintain effective communications within AECOM at appropriate operational leadership
  Requirements:


  • 10 + years' experience in the AEC market serving in a project management, operations, and/or technical role
  • Bachelor Degree in Architecture or Engineering - Masters preferred
  • Architectural or Engineering professional license required
  • Leadership of virtual teams on a local/global level
  • Large scale, multi-disciplinary project experience on National and International levels
  • Practical application of BIM technology for project delivery required
  • Industry recognized thought leader in BIM technology

Have knowledge in:  


  • Architectural, Engineering and Construction business practices
  • BIM systems utilized within the AEC industry
  • Demonstrated competency in BIM implementation, operations and procedures
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal, written & communication skills, including presentation and public speaking
  • Demonstrated strong management and leadership ability

  • Candidate should possess both National and International affiliations including:
  • American Institute of Architects (AIA)
  • National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE)
  • Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)
  • National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS)
  • National CAD Standards committee (NCS)
  • National BIM Standards committee (NBIMS)
  • National Building Smart Alliance (BSA)
  • International Code Council
