Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum BS degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related engineering discipline
• Minimum PE License in North Carolina
• Minimum 9 years of progressive experience in water/wastewater design, bidding, and construction phase services
• Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to safely drive extended distances
• Must be able to strictly adhere to Health and Safety protocols both in the office and in the field
• Requires excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
• Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
Job Description:
The Infrastructure and Environment Division of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Water/Wastewater Design Manager for immediate employment in the (Raleigh) Morrisville, NC office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Civil/Environmental Engineering Design specific to Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection, and Water/Wastewater Treatment. • Management of a municipal water/wastewater design group in the Raleigh, NC area
• Mentoring engineering design staff
• Planning, scheduling, and conducting engineering projects from conceptual design through construction completion
• Collaborating with other URS water/wastewater professionals in the southeast and nationally
• Providing advice and consultation to clients and internal URS staff on engineering matters
• Assisting Business Line Managers in the development of new business, and marketing to potential and existing clients
