Role Overview

PLANNER/SCHEDULER (HOME OFFICE)

Performs schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery plan development activities. Responsible for advising the client and managing the scheduling and planning activities for large or major projects with significant non-routine requirements; and discipline/project/proposal scheduling or staff planning activities that require a high degree of technical skill and experience. Supports/performs project organizational and administrative activities as needed. Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to planning and scheduling problems. Provides generally non-routine scheduling guidance to client.

Planning and coordinating schedule interfaces with owners, other Bechtel project team members, vendors, and subcontractors for the assigned sections of the schedule. Continually monitoring critical path for Bechtel Management and client . Proactively assessing and facilitating bi-weekly progress and monthly reporting, completion forecasts, and providing solutions to mitigate schedule delays or optimize project completion. Evaluating project progress against historical indicators and providing Bechtel Management with comparative analysis.Assisting withthe implementation of scheduling and progress monitoring systems.

Basic Qualifications

  • B.S. degree preferred in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 5or more years of EPC experience in Project Controls strongly preferred.
  • 5years of professional experience in the field and home office performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis.
  • Experience and strong knowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Proficiency with Bechtel PC scheduling operating systems (e.g., P6, ePCWorks/EPPR, MS Office applications) and with proficiency in several basic Bechtel standard application programs.
  • Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, as performed by Bechtel.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
  • Knowledge in utilizing Six Sigma tools to improve and monitor work processes is desired.
