Job Description:  Functions as a Human Resources business partner for AECOM Corporate groups (Information Technology, Finance and Accounting, Tax, Insurance, Procurement, Compliance, Human Resources, Legal, Communications, etc.)  Supports an internal client group of U.S. and global employees. 

Partners with management and employees in the areas of employee relations and development, compensation, compliance, diversity and inclusion, performance management consultation and administration.  Participates in various HR task forces in order to develop integrated, value added solutions for internal clients. 

Works with appropriate Human Resources specialist groups (Centers of Excellence) in the areas of organizational and employee development, talent acquisition and total rewards including compensation, benefits, global mobility and HRIS.  Reports to Director, Corporate HR.


Administers company policies and procedures.  Counsels and coaches management and employees in the administration and interpretation of AECOM’s policies and procedures.  Provides advice and AECOM policy counsel to line management and staff, and utilizes influence to achieve impact in tactical as well as strategic HR issues and opportunities.  


Conducts employee relations investigations, and recommends viable solutions. 

Conducts conflict resolution meetings and facilitates positive outcomes on an as needed basis. 

Responds to charges and works with Legal Department in the development of strategy to address complex employee issues. 


Supports initiatives in the area of Workforce Planning, Recruitment, and Internship programs.


Administers performance management and annual compensation programs.


Ensures compliance with state and federal labor laws as they relate to the corporate client groups. 


Performs a wide range of activities focusing on enhancing organizational performance, developing a competent and committed workforce, and building organizational capabilities that directly impact business.


Facilitates and coordinates various management and employee trainings programs.


Works with other HR specialists on an as needed basis to support client’s needs such as global mobility, immigration, benefits administration, retirement, and health & welfare. 


Recruits candidates for open positions on an as needed basis. 
Assists in the development of new policies and procedures as needed.


Participates in the development of specific HR infrastructure projects as needed.


Knowledge:   

Full HR Generalist background with emphasis in Employee Relations investigative processes and conflict resolution experience necessary to resolve ER issues (including EEO and Sexual Harassment) in compliance with company policies and legal requirements

Performance management/evaluation facilitation and consultation experience

Knowledge of State and Federal labor laws

Human Resources policies and procedures administration

Working knowledge of organizational structure and Organizational Development

Working knowledge of HRIS systems  (Oracle preferred)

Full cycle recruiting knowledge.  Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (Kenexa preferred) 

Participates in Human Resources projects on an individual basis and as part of broader Human Resources team

Education/Experience:


5 – 7 years of Human Resources Generalist/Management experience in Fortune 500, global organization.

Bachelor’s degree from accredited university required – Master’s degree preferred

PHR/SPHR certification preferred
