Minimum Requirements: • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline • Minimum 9 years of environmental consulting and/or environmental design experience • Indiana Professional Engineer Registration, or ability to be registered within 3 months • Familiar with state and Federal environmental regulations • Strong client communication skills, and prior project experience • Experience with investigation/remediation of properties and related environmental permitting • Detail oriented and able to lead diverse project teams • Good organization and time management skills • Excellent technical, project management, and client relations skills • Must be comfortable working with existing and new clients to develop and market new program areas • Some overnight travel will be required • Valid driver's license required • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test Job Description: The URS Indianapolis, IN office is seeking talented Environmental Engineers, or related professionals, to help grow its Indiana environmental practice involving the permitting, investigation, and/or remediation of environmental conditions on properties located in Indiana and surroundings states. The successful candidate will support existing clients, develop proposals, pursue independent marketing efforts, and lead diverse technical teams in the delivery of client projects. The position requires completing projects on time and accurately. The team member will promote and demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude.
The position responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Soliciting and leading environmental investigation, remediation, and/or permitting projects • Providing general environmental consulting (air, NPDES, solid/hazardous waste), including permitting, strategic regulatory analysis, and compliance assessment • Interfacing with clients and regulators • Conducting internal technical reviews • Overseeing the activities of junior level staff • Negotiating permit conditions with regulatory agencies • Other duties as assigned
