Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering; Computer Science or related field. A minimum of eight years experience, of which at least five (5) must be specialized experience including system security analysis and implementation; design assurance or testing for INFOSEC products and systems; integration or testing for INFOSEC products and systems is required. A MS degree in a related field may be substituted for one (1) year of experience. A PhD in a related field may be substituted for an additional two (2) years of experience. General experience includes system engineering; electirical design, software engineering; program design and implementation; configuration management; or maintenance. Must have knowlegde of TCP/IP, information security/authorization profiles, or security administration of Unix or NT network/systems. Must have knowledge of Government security policies and familiarity with security-related technologies and auditing tools. Must be capable of providing security engineering analysis on a variety of infomation systems. Must have experience with Host Based Security System (HBSS) deployments in tactical environments. Must have experience in operating, and maintaining tactical networks. Import/Create/Modify HBSS Policy Sets and Tag Creation/Modification Process Queries and Dashboards.
Excellent communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
Must be able to pass/maintain a Security Clearance - active clearance is strongly preferred. Job Description: URS is seeking a Senior Information Security(INFOSEC) Engineer to provide acquisition support services the U.S. Army and the Program Executive Office for Command, Control and Communications Tactical (PEO C3T) on Fort Hood, Texas and various other locations.
Analyzes and resolves INFOSEC technical problems. Configures testbeds and conducts testing, records and analyzes results, and provides recommendations for improvements for the products/systems under test. Areas of focus include Guard, Firewall, Secure Network Server, PCMCIA format security solutions, "Smart Cards", and emerging technologies and future trends. Supports the integration of INFOSEC solutions and technologies into networks with particular attention to protocols, interfaces, and system design. General experience includes system engineering; electrical design, software engineering; program design and implementation; configuration management; or maintenance.
This position is contingent and awaiting the contract to be awarded in April 2013.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Perform customer requirement analysis for existing or proposed systems to determine feasibility and objectives of requests. 2. Design or modify system and prepares reports, schedules, data requirements, security access rules and system constraints. 3. Write, debug and test programs and procedures. 4. Install system and train customer to use new or changed applications. 5. Study existing information systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new systems where appropriate. 6. Assist junior level programmers/analysts in resolution of work problems related to project and/or programming specifications. 7. Direct on-site customer interface for program guidance, testing, systems analysis, and other system related tasks as needed. 8. Prepare detailed documented requirements for selected activities (i.e., data management, configuration management, program management, etc.) 9. May provide administrative support to project management staff in customer meetings, presentations and briefings. 10. Maintain and establish a filing system for correspondence, project status report, and other technical documentation for tracking and inventory control. 11. Comply with hardware and software systems standards and procedures. 12. May provide informal training in implementing software programs based on user requirements. 13. Assist in the preparation and production of technical reports, progress reports, data requirements and system constraints for technical presentations, meetings and customer briefings. 14. Provide support in the development of technical proposal and provide input on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work.
