Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or a related technical discipline (e.g., BSEE, BSCS) or equivalent experience, and 2 to 4 years of related experience are required. Excellent communications and analytical skills required. Position may require travel.
Must be able to pass/maintain a Security Clearance - active clearance is strongly preferred.
Job Description:
URS is seeking a Software Engineer to provide acquisition support services the U.S. Army and the Program Executive Office for Command, Control and Communications Tactical (PEO C3T) in Fort Hood, Texas and various other locations.
Perform in all phases of software design, development, documentation, and implementation.
This position is contingent and awaiting the contract to be awarded in April 2013.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Design, write, test, deploy and support software code as assigned.
2. Design and develop compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
3. Provide inputs for documentation of new or existing programs, as required.
4. Primarily interface with intra-organizational staff with infrequent contact with inter-organizational staff and outside customers and vendors on routine matters.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
