Minimum Requirements: • BS in Electrical Engineering from a four year ABET accredited college or university • Must have passed Fundamentals of Engineering exam • Minimum four years of relevant experience in electric power generation/transmission/substation/distribution design and calculations utilizing PLS-CADD computer program • Hands on experience in software packages like ETAP, SKM • Knowledge of statutory rules and codes • Knowledge of applicable NESC standards, regional reliability council protocols, and industry design practices for electric power lines • MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test Job Description: Do the best work of your life! Responsibilities: • Generate project drawings, cost estimates, and specifications including: • Design calculations • Equipment Sizing Calculation • Preparation of SLDs • Preparation of Layouts • Procurement activity of electrical equipment like preparation of Requisition, Tender Evaluation, Vendor Drawing Review Preparation of MTOs • Preparation of Cable schedules, Schematics • Interconnection Schedule • Relay Setting • Interface engineering with other disciplines such as Piping, Mechanical, Civil & Instrumentation • Provide design support for power generation/transmission/substation/distribution projects and function as the Project Engineer on select projects • Collect and evaluate technical data and other information, including regulatory, environmental, economic, operational, and constructability factors, pertaining to power generation/transmission/substation/distribution projects • Performs electric system calculations, such as, line impedance and reactance, short circuit, load flow, grounding, and lightning protection. Duties include field support of line construction activities • Provide assistance to the Project Manager in the planning and scheduling of engineering tasks on related projects, including an understanding of estimating related material costs and availability
