Job Description:  CH2M HILL Pipeline Delivery Manager Careers - Denver, Colorado

The challenge? Help CH2M HILL grow our business and help our country to meet the ever increasing global demand for energy. Our Pipeline Delivery Managers provide business development and engineering leadership for our pipeline project teams in North America. CH2M HILL is currently working on some of the coolest pipeline projects under way. Each day, you will be the face of CH2M HILL as you lead clients through the entire pipeline project process, from proposal and design through to construction and start-up. As a Pipeline Delivery Leader, you will focus on developing strong client relationships with our strategic accounts in North America and Mexico, as well as providing project leadership and management. As a self-motivated professional engineer, you should have a minimum of 10 years project management experience in the design of natural gas pipelines and related systems along with 5 years of significant business development leadership. You should also have desire to grow personally and professionally with each new pipeline project.

Our Pipeline Delivery Managers:
  • Collaborate directly with clients, business development and project teams to provide and develop high quality, leading edge engineering solutions to our clients in the pipeline industry that differentiate CH2M HILL in the market place.
  • Manage assigned client accounts; develop and leverage client relationships; identify, position and convert opportunities; provide interface between client representatives and CH2M HILL delivery teams.
  • Possess extensive project knowledge of linear pipelines, gathering systems, liquid pump stations, compressor stations, and other metering systems along with an engineering background that includes a mix of office, field, and construction experience; preferably with both consulting and operating companies and with E, EP, EPCM and EPC contract delivery models. Manage the execution of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for the assigned project elements, monitor progress to maintain schedules and budgets; identify and document scope changes.
  • Work with account teams to develop and implement strategies/tactics for business growth and adjust the plan to reflect changes in client relationships, market conditions, etc.
  • Capitalize on our oil and gas service center in Mexico by driving growth consistent with the overall Business Group's growth strategy through integration of existing resources into the work to extent possible.
  • Work with our Denver pipeline "center of excellence" office to supplement as needed to effectively implement Pipeline projects.
  • Are well networked within the industry, with the interest and ability to expand network externally and within the broader CH2M HILL enterprise.
  • Lead our teams in offering the best technical and business solutions for our clients, integrating technical, project delivery, and commercial approaches that lead to doing the right project the right way.
  • Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Drive ownership of health & safety in all aspects of project execution, office and personal environments.

Additional Information:
  • This position has the flexibility to office in one of the following locations: Houston, Texas or Denver, Colorado.
  • CH2M HILL will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g., H-1B visa, etc.) to fill this position.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS degree in Civil, Mechanical or related engineering field
  • 10 years project management experience in the design of natural gas pipelines and related systems
  • 5 years of significant business development leadership experience for pipeline projects
  • Able to travel up to 50% to office and project locations in the US, Canada, and Mexico

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the basic qualifications, the following are also highly desired:
  • 15 years project management experience in the design of natural gas pipelines and related systems
  • Experience in the development, engineering and construction of pipelines in Mexico
  • 10 years of significant business development leadership experience for pipeline projects
  • Bi-lingual Spanish fluency and the ability to converse in business and technical terms with accuracy and confidence
  • Professional Engineer registration in one or more states
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) registration

Degree Required

Bachelors or 4 Year Degree
