Minimum Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum four years of relevant structural drafting or design experience.
• Technical knowledge of drafting techniques and training in computer aided drafting (CAD) 2D and 3D software.
• Proficient in the use of Microstation and AutoCAD.
• Must be proficient in standard office computer applications and software, to include MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Access.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey thoughts clearly and concisely.
• Must show a high attention to detail Must pass a CAD Proficiency Test.

The Infrastructure and Environment Division of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented CAD technician for immediate employment in the Santa Ana, CA. office to work on bridge and highway projects. The appropriately qualified applicant will have structural, bridge and highway project experience. A qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an appropriate understanding of 2D and 3D Cad software, specifically Microstation and AutoCAD. This CAD technician is responsible for developing drawings through completion for assigned projects in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes and design criteria established by the project's discipline engineers.
Responsibilities:
• Uses computer-aided drafting equipment, computer systems and software to produce conceptual and detailed drawings.
• Under general supervision, performs a variety of drafting duties, including producing routine to moderately difficult structural Plans and Details on CADD for various structures, including bridges, retaining walls and culverts from engineering sketches, instruction or from general engineering and design information.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and can handle the moderate stress of deadline schedules.
• Ability to work in team environment and collaborate with others in the completion of assignments.
