The Freeport office of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Waste Characterization Specialist for immediate employment in the Freeport office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in waste specific to waste streams and disposal of waste. URS is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.
Incumbent Responsibilities:
*Work with clients to determine waste that needs to have profile number
* Ensure understanding of what the customer needs are for the waste
* Helping the customer through the WPN process
* Provide all assistance the client needs to get the waste properly disposed of including scheduling, working with WCO personnel and sampling technicians and staff.
*Responsibility for limited staff oversight and training
*Will need to be able create WPNs with minimal guidance.
