Job Description:  This position will perform specific portions of broader assignments under the mentoring of an experienced civil or environmental engineer or scientist.   Position requires the application of standard practices and techniques in specific situations and will receive close supervision on new aspects of assignments.  The successful candidate will also have the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Perform environmental site investigation and characterization
  • Perform other general civil engineering including design calculations, drawing and spec review, plan production and cost estimation
  • Conduct site visits and field sampling, remedial design, and construction inspections as well as operation, maintenance and inspection of equipment; write technical reports and plans
  • Assist in developing cost estimates as well as maintaining regulatory compliance for air, water, and soil
  • Gather and correlate basic engineering and or environmental data using established and well-defined procedures
  • Exercise judgment in developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
  • Troubleshoot assignments for unusual or difficult problems and select the techniques and procedures to be applied on non-routine work
Qualifications:


  • Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or other related Engineering degree
  • Engineer Intern (EI) certification strongly preferred
  • Strong writing and computer skills preferred including Microsoft Suite
  • CADD experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working with utility companies or municipalities a plus
