Minimum Requirements: Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Vocational/Technical school or Associates degree and at least 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
Active Secret Clearance required.
• Excellent communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs
• Experience with automated vehicle barrier systems, building access control systems and exterior physical security systems preferred, including perimeter fence sensors and lighting, card readers, access controls, interior intrusion detection sensors, monitors, CCTV, anti-tamper and mass notification.
• Working knowledge and/or certification with major security systems is desirable.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Most positions involve work typical of office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting with occasional use of computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
Some positions involve work in environments (e.g., shipboard, labs, outside locations, etc.) where mechanical equipment, weapons, etc. are being installed, tested, analyzed/monitored, operated, and/or maintained.
Equipment may be loud and noisy or have exposed moving components.
Such positions may involve routine lifting up to 50 pounds, regular handling, grasping, kneeling and carrying, and constant use of vision and mental alertness is required.

Job Description: URS is looking for a Security Systems Tester to join our team in Crane, Indiana!
The Tester will provide test and evaluation support in the area of Physical and Electronic Security Systems, sub-systems, equipment and components for the development of new and existing systems, alterations, integration and interface of existing equipment or software into different applications.
Position requires up to 25% travel.
Duties may include:
• Perform system tests and evaluations to assess performance, safety, operability, reliability and maintainability of integrated Physical and Electronic Security Systems, sub-systems, equipment and components
• Prepare test and evaluation plans to validate and certify Physical and Electronic Security Systems, sub-systems, equipment and components to meet requirements, standards and/or compliance
• Identify and/or perform design validation testing of new design of physical and electronic security systems, subsystems, equipment and components
• Identify and/or perform design validation testing of reverse engineered Physical and Electronic Security Systems, sub-systems, equipment and components
• Develop or recommend test equipment, tools, jigs and fixtures to support production acceptance, life-cycle quality evaluation and maintenance of systems, subsystems, equipment, and components.
• Prepare system safety program plans, safety site surveys/plans, tracking procedures, hazard lists, hazard analyses, safety evaluation and testing plans/procedures evaluate and annotate Government furnished system safety program plans
• Perform a System Operational Verification Test (SOVT) on each installed Physical and Electronic Security Systems, sub-systems, components and equipment against applicable installation control drawings and operations procedures; recommend changes if required and document
• Perform Field Service testing, trouble shooting of new components and systems and deployed equipment in a field environment; conduct testing of installation equipment, alteration kits and components in accordance with applicable operational specifications.
