Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in civil engineering with an emphasis in structural design or a structural engineering degree, or other appropriate discipline. California registration as licensed structural engineer with a minimum 5 years of experience in design of concrete, steel, masonry and wood construction. Must also be familiar with seismic retrofit design of structures of all types. Knowledgeable with SAP & Etabs software and dynamic analysis of structures. The position requires field visits and preparation of field reports. The candidate must be familiar with construction phase support services such as responding to RFI's and review of shop drawings. Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. Job Description: The successful candidate will be working in a dynamic environment and on a wide range of projects. The projects vary from Airport structures to Education, Healthcare, Ports & harbors, Renewable Energy and more. As senior structural engineer, the candidate will be managing own projects by becoming a URS Certified Project Manager. The successful candidate will also be involved in business development and marketing URS structural engineering services to different market sectors within URS and private or public clients.
