Job Description: 
Minimum Requirements:

• Candidate will have Bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience in network engineering, testing, and implementation.

Specific experience:

• Candidate must have knowledge and experience in network testing, network design, implementation and technology insertion with respect to Unified Capabilities requirements.
• Knowledge and experience using Internet Protocol (IP), Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), Unified Capabilities (UC) or Assured Service (AS) SIP, Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP), Quality of Service (QoS), and H.323 are required.

• The preferred candidate will have relevant certifications to include Cisco Certified Network Associate, Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate or higher, Cisco Certified Networking Professional Voice and Wireless and at least 10 years of qualified hands-on industry or military "UC" experience.

• DoD Secret Clearance or clearable candidates are required; experience working at DISA or other Defense organization is preferred.


Job Description:

URS has an opportunity for a Network Systems Engineer Lead to join our team at Fort Meade in Maryland!

This position is contingent on contract award.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert level technical engineering assistance to all phases of network development, operation and management.
• Monitor network topologies; develop and evaluate alternative utilization or configuration options.

• Conduct network performance and trend analyses to include individual circuit availability rates.

• Develop processes and programs to enhance network performance and reliability.

• Conduct network testing, supervise technology insertion, and evaluate developmental software applications.

• Provide functional guidance, supervision, technical support, training and quality assurance/quality control to Associate and Intermediate personnel. Support DISA Senior staff as required and ensure customer requirements and project milestones are met.
