Minimum Requirements: • High school graduate or equivalent • Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors • Prior experience as a CEI Senior Inspector on Roadway and Bridge Construction Projects or prior roadway/bridge construction experience • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction inspection, two (2) years of which shall have been in roadway construction inspection, plus the following or the ability to attain the appropriate certifications within six months:

The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in performing Construction Engineering and Inspection duties on highway and bridge construction projects. The incumbent can look forward to projects including various assignments for the Department of Transportation and local municipalities throughout central and Southwest Florida.
Incumbent Responsibilities: Responsible for performing highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, making, and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests and is responsible for coordinating and managing the lower level inspectors. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Project Administrator. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to those listed above.
