Job Description:  The challenge? Help to meet the ever increasing demand for clean electrical power. Our National T&D Business Development Manager job will leverage relationships with existing clients to develop Transmission and Substation projects. Each day you will utilize your technical expertise in Power Delivery to sell services work, engineering and full scope EPC. You should be a self motivated degreed engineer with previous experience working in an engineering services firm successfully selling Power Delivery Services and a desire to grow personally and professionally with each business development project.

Our National T&D Business Development Manager:
  • Manages the business development activities for Power Delivery consulting and services work
  • Partners with the Director of Power Delivery to define the North America market requirements business opportunities for engineering and design services and consulting in power delivery
  • Collaborates with the Power Business Group Senior Vice President (SVP) of Services and Consulting to develop the strategic planning for Power Delivery business development
  • Develops and delivers opportunity specific bid presentations for electric utilities clients
  • Works with engineering, services and operations staff on deliverables required & competitor trends
  • Manages the qualification and proposal process Identifies client needs, and helps establish win strategies for proposals
  • Recognizes risk elements of projects, mitigates those elements and says "No" when opportunity is not worthy of pursuit

NOTE: We have the flexibility to staff this position in any CH2M Hill Office as long as it is in a major metropolitan area for ease of travel across the country.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 10 years of business development experience in the Power Delivery (Substation & Transmission) consulting industry
  • Demonstrated superior organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Established existing relationships with electric utilities clients
  • Ability to meet deadlines, sometimes with short notice even when required to work beyond normal business hours
  • Proficiency using Microsoft tools including MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Civil Engineering (BSCE) preferred
  • Previous experience working in an engineering services business environment in selling Power Delivery Services
  • PE licensed preferred

Bachelors or 4 Year Degree
