We are seeking an Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis to support the development and achievement of the organization's goals and objectives by providing accurate, insightful and timely analysis of company data to the Global Business Line (GBL) finance team. This individual will be responsible for analyzing and presenting financial results and performance metrics, including variance to plan and prior year, financial forecasting, annual budgeting, and special projects for all GBLs. S/he will provide financial consulting and strategic support to the GBL finance team including identifying, researching, analyzing and presenting critical business drivers for the GBLs, including revenue drivers such as wins, bookings, backlog, etc., business development investment and effectiveness, profitability measures including contribution margin, and project-level analysis. Prepares financial and business related analysis of trends in such areas pipeline composition (wins, bookings and backlog), growth metrics, profitability measures, business development effectiveness, and return on investment; Supports budgeting and forecasting process within the Americas; Utilizing PC and/or mainframe-based systems and software, compiles and prepares reports, graphs and charts of data developed; Assists with special financial and business related projects including cross business line initiatives; Performs ad hoc analyses, projects and presentation preparation, as needed. Requirements for Position: Bachelor's degree required, MBA degree a plus; Related experience in finance and/or accounting of 3 to 6 years within a public company of similar structure and complexity to AECOM; Strong capabilities in and knowledge of business analytics tools. Experience with Cognos, TM1, Oracle, and Hyperion a plus; Very strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data including financial statements, key financial ratios, valuation models and techniques; Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience in the presentation of complex financial information; Excellent influencing, negotiation and decision making skills; Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and presentation; Persistence and a strong focus on deliverables, balanced with excellent teamwork, listening skills and diplomacy; Ability to work in a high-paced environment with a sense of urgency; Attention to detail with strategic and tactical insight; Solid problem-solving ability; Strong organizational skills - ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; Ability to be resourceful and work independently; Demonstrated ability to explain complex concepts and/or financial models; Ability to think creatively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements. This position will be based in Chelmsford, MA or Los Angeles, CA.
