Requisition ID: Project Description The Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) Project is a coal seam gas (CSG) to liquefied natural gas (LNG) development project on Curtis Island, near Gladstone, Queensland. Gladstone is located approximately 450 kilometers north of Brisbane on the east coast of Australia. Australia Pacific LNG has Australia's largest CSG reserves position and is well placed to enable the creation of a world-class, long-term industry in Queensland, Australia. The Project consists of the development of the LNG plant which will have a processing capacity of up to 9 million tons per annum (Mtpa). Bechtel is performing the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) on the project. The project is scheduled for completion in late 2016 with a workforce in Gladstone (primarily on a camp status, fly-in/fly-out basis), Batam Indonesia and Houston Texas. The project will be performed using a Bechtel Direct Hire workforce with select subcontract support. Position Description - The Culture Development Manager will be based in Gladstone, Australia and will be required to travel to Houston and the Project Module Yard in Indonesia on a regular basis.
- S/He will report to the Senior Project Manager and will actively collaborate with the Project Management Team.
- S/He will be responsible for implementing a culture enhancement strategy and driving cultural development and organizational change initiatives in Gladstone, Batam, and Houston.
- S/He will be required to understand the projects goals and strategies and will be responsible for providing coaching and change management guidance to all levels of the project organization.
- S/He will provide strategic advice to senior management on organizational change and performance management that supports a performance driven culture.

- experience in developing and delivering culture enhancement initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities The Culture Development Manager will be responsible for: - Working with the Project Management Team to lead cultural improvement on the project.
- Collaborating with the Project Management Team and department managers to identify, develop and implement organizational effectiveness interventions that are focussed on employee satisfaction.
- Organising and facilitating project "Employee Focus Groups" to understand employee issues and concerns and to develop project action plans.
- Organising employee Culture / Pulse Surveys, assessing the results and providing recommendations to the Project Management Team.
- Developing and facilitating alignment and teambuilding sessions between groups, functions and project locations to improve collaboration and teamwork.
- Leading a committee of volunteers to develop and implement actionable and targeted change management plans.
- Facilitating Upward Feedback Sessions and Coaching 360 Reviews aimed at assisting supervisors with improved behavior.
- Coaching and guiding project leaders through the implementation of organizational and behavioral change initiatives.
- Collaborating with APLNG Learning and Development personnel to ensure provided training is effective and supports organisational development.
Education and Experience - A Master's Degree in Organizational Development, Psychology, Sociology, Behavioral Sciences or business is preferred, although other areas will be considered as long as candidate has appropriate experience.
- 10 years of experience in organizational/cultural development, including designing and implementing business aligned organisational development programs and/or human performance improvement methods, particularly in a changing environment.
Other Qualifications/Experiences - May require up to 50% travel, domestically and internationally to ensure collaboration across the different geographical locations of the project.
- Strong experience and demonstrated capability and knowledge of theory and practice of organizational/cultural development methodologies.
- Strong internal consulting and coaching experience with leaders.
- Self-motivated individual who is solutions focused, optimistic, pragmatic and resilient.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with demonstrated persuasive project leadership and team building skills, presentation skills and creativity.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies.
- Experienced in the use of career assessment and development methods and resources.
- Ability to quickly assimilate and analyze a broad range of business and human capital information and effectively use insights to create innovative learning solutions.
- Fluent or native English speaker
