Minimum Requirements: • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in related field • Minimum 10 years of work experience in contract administration, preferably in engineering projects, including general accounting knowledge and experience • Or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience • Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Communicate effectively with clients and employees at all levels via phone and in person. Excellent organizational and writing skills • Excellent organizational and time management skills and proficiency at multitasking. Ability to work with little or no supervision • Demonstrated judgment in decision-making. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Attention to detail and schedule flexibility • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test Job Description: The IE Division of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Sr. Contract Administrator for immediate employment in the Oakland, California office. The appropriately qualified applicant will work to develop, establish, and maintain project control systems for the Anderson Dam Seismic Retrofit design project and possibly other water resources projects. The applicant will report to the Project Manager and assist with the management of the project, and work with the project team in monitoring, documenting, and communicating project progress. Responsibilities include: • Preparing subcontracts, work orders, purchase orders, • Developing project work plans and QA/QC plans, • Reviewing, monitoring, and reporting contract/subcontract compliance of deliverables, cost, and schedule, • Reviewing charges, approving draft invoices, and preparing client invoice submittals • Preparing progress reports including summaries of project activities, earned value, and schedule, • Reviewing, approving, and processing subconsultant invoices, • Developing, organizing, and maintaining document control system for all project documents • Organizing project files and developing project filing system, • Managing and maintaining project filing system for all project files • Developing and maintain running lists of team action items The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to those stated above.
