Minimum Requirements:

BS in Electrical Engineering or related degree or equivalent and eight (8) years or more of experience in field of electrical engineering with shipboard experience a plus. Familiar with special marine equipment including pumps, motors, generators, transformers and UPS hardware. Should be knowledgeable about various types of Navy shipboard communications, navigation and sensors systems.

We are seeking a Part-Time Electrical Engineer for Ijamsville, MD office.

Responsibilities:

Familiar with large generators, shipboard power systems, switching gear, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), shipboard wiring methods and equipment including transformers, power distribution, grounding and use of special marine electrical equipment and materials including smokeless wire and explosion proof electrical equipment. Able to generate flow diagrams, schematics and identify equipment for use in MATSS vessel upgrades. Able to use various electrical instrumentation troubleshooting equipment, collect and analyze data.
