AECOM is seeking a Business Development leader to assume a key role in one of its Florida offices for the Building & Engineering business line. The successful candidate will work in concert with Buildings & Places leadership to develop and implement an aggressive growth strategy for our Florida locations while collaborating and engaging with the larger southern region of AECOM and across the various global discipline practice strategies.
We would like continue to build our credentials in both the private and public sector. It is important to note that historically these office was the legacy Spills Candela headquarters office, a noted A& E firm that practiced broadly from a strong Miami Dade political base with several offices around the US and Latin America.
We are seeking someone to take on this leadership role that will expand the office's expertise, capabilities and visibility in this unique political community. The individual would ideally have a vision and experience at the local, regional and global client representation level from a Florida base.
Minimum Qualifications
- This successful candidate will have demonstrated success in leading and growing offices in the practice of Building Engineering and MEP of a similar size. They must be an inclusive and collaborative leader that has earns the respect of those he or she leads as well as have solid recommendations from clients and professional relationships in the community and the design and construction industry.
- We would expect them to be registered professionals to have 12 to 20 years' experience in the profession.
- Representative Duties and Accountabilities
- Represent AECOM and develop new business in the Florida Region. Cultivate local political and professional representation of AECOM. Engage personally and position and hold other key office professionals accountable to engage as well
- Responsible for the sales and Business Development of the Florida offices to a plan developed in concert with the larger Building & Engineering regional leadership, global market sector leaders and global and regional practice line leadership.
- Maintain and oversee key clients and dynamics of the Market as well as assure awareness of key relationships and assign and maintain proper relationship managers for all clients
- Maintain and oversee business development plans and results in concert with global business development team
- Maintain a proper infrastructure of operational and financial support teams to manage and assure financial results.
- Advocate for collaboration and expansion of opportunities across the practice lines of Buildings & Places to enhance cross-platform integration within and optimize marketing and business development
- Serve as the centralized point for collaboration and integration of activities between Buildings & Places resources and other AECOM resources relative to efforts within the location
- Serve as an externally oriented "face" for client relationship building, third-party collaboration, and market sector outreach and visibility. Develop and own primary role with PR and Branding Initiatives across Market Sector and Practice Lines.
