Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, registration as professional engineer (PE), with a minimum of 11 years consulting engineering experience in designing mechanical systems, including HVAC, Plumbing, controls, fire protection, industrial utilities and related systems.
Experienced with Auto CADD, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Trane / Trace load calculations program.
Experienced in surveying the existing facilities and buildings, data gathering and setting up the projects. Experienced in designing of ductwork, hydronic systems, fuel and gas piping systems, pumps, large air handling units, computer room type AC units, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, compressed air, lubrication systems, water treatment system and similar commercial and industrial mechanical systems.
Good written and oral presentation skills. Experienced in mentoring and coaching junior level engineers and technicians. Experienced in working with multiple discipline environment and client interface and coordination.

This position will be part of the Mechanical Group in the Vertical Design Department. The mechanical group is responsible for the design of HVAC, plumbing, Utilities and Fire Protection for various types of buildings and facilities, including but not limited to, airports, schools, maintenance facilities, offices and industrial buildings. This position will support the mechanical Group for various projects by performing heating and cooling load calculations, surveying, directing and reviewing designs by junior staff, HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design, writing reports, coordination with in house and outside architects and engineers, preparation of projects specifications, coordination and meeting with clients and cost estimating. Responsible for the overall quality of assigned staff's work and oversees projects. Make decision independently on problems. Provide leadership, mentorship, training and direction to staff on team. Plan, coordinate, develop and monitor project to completion. Establish, promote and ensure quality on all projects and work performance. Monitor projects' spent budget. Work with project managers for proposals and prepare scope of work. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to those stated above.
