Job Description:  CH2M HILL Project Assistant Jobs - Boston, MA

CH2M HILL is looking for a dynamic person to join the firm as a Project Assistant in our Boston, MA office. In this role you will provide project support to the Ports & Maritime market of the Transportation business group. This position will provide advanced project support to a select group of project managers, professional staff and/or senior management. Work is frequently proprietary and complex. Requires organization and advanced administrative and financial skills. You should have at least 5 years of project support experience, excellent MS Office skills, previous SharePoint experience, and the ability to learn and grow with each new challenge.

Our Project Assistants:
  • This career level position has thorough knowledge of a broad range of activities and procedures in own area and works under general guidance to evaluate situations and select the correct solution.
  • Responsibilities are generally complex in nature and require independent judgment to accomplish assignments.
  • Duties and tasks are routine in nature. Assist with proposal preparation, project set-ups, client invoicing, updating project financials, creating and reviewing project financial reports, creating Purchase Requisitions, processing accounts payable, general project document control using SharePoint, etc.
  • Assist with the maintenance of departmental budgets or other records and processes.
  • Typically supports a large group or department in coordinating project files, managing information flow, or arranging travel schedules and meeting planning.
  • Prepares reports, presentations, and or correspondence of a non-standard nature. May develop new or revise processes and/or procedures, or recommend improvements in support of a department or group of managers.
  • May play coordination role for conferences, professional meetings and community or office events
  • May screen calls, arrange meetings, travel and generate expense reports
  • Should be flexible – fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates will have a high school degree plus a minimum of 5+ years of project support experience in a professional environment. Must also have knowledge and experience with Office 2007, including spreadsheet preparation in Excel and preparing PowerPoint presentations will be required. SharePoint experience a plus.

Basic Qualifications

  • Education: High School or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of project support experience in a professional environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with Office 2007, including spreadsheet preparation in Excel and preparing PowerPoint presentations will be required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SharePoint experience a plus
