Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and ten, (10) years of job related experience or equivalent.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications is required.

Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Job Description:

URS is looking for a Logistics Analyst to join our team in Crane, Indiana!

The Logistics Analyst will provide programmatic acquisition and logistics management, planning, coordination, and consulting support for engineering and logistics elements (ILS planning, maintenance planning; design interface; computer resources; manpower and personnel; technical data; supply support; support equipment; training and training devices; packaging/handling/storage/transportation; training and training devices; and facilities) in support of Logistics Managers, Program Managers and customers for Maritime EW Systems, Subsystems and assemblies.


Responsibilities:

• Supervise activities in the engineering and logistics areas of industry expertise and support analyses, studies, problem identification and resolution, program planning and policy development and implementation.

• Monitor progress and customer satisfaction with respect to assigned area schedules and deliverables.

• Provide technical expertise for Surface Ship platforms and sensors to accomplish acquisition and logistics tasks in support of NSWC Crane, Maritime EW Division, and PEO(IWS)-2 Above Water Sensor requirements.

• Collaborate daily with customer(s) to determine specific needs and requirements and to counsel within the expert area, including overseeing task execution specifically for acquisition engineering, technical data support and associated documentation, technical development of ILS Plans, design interface strategies, and logistics review group audit support.

• Develop and/or review program Plans of Actions and Milestones, Integrated Master Schedules, reports, technical papers, drawings, specifications, procedures, and logistics documentation to support installation planning, etc.; provide comments; organize, consolidate, and adjudicate comments from various organizations, and prepare reports.

• Perform subject matter expertise-level review, analyses, and validation of engineering and logistics to ultimately support installation requirements; prepare executive-level reports and briefs.

• Consult as industry expert with the logistics managers, program managers and customers, advising on platform requirements, and logistics program policy development, planning and implementation.

• Interface with various technical and logistics team leaders daily to exchange information and coordinate related task performance associated with Surface Ship platforms (CVN, LPD, DDG, etc.).

• Provide acquisition and in-service subject matter expertise to train junior-level personnel in the technical aspects of logistics life cycle support planning.

• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
