Minimum Requirements: • Have a four year degree or equivalent experience • Have a minimum of ten years of professional experience in the provision of security audit services or security non-guard services (e.g., police officer, federal agent/inspector, licensed private investigator, licensed private investigator, security supervisor) • Have demonstrated knowledge of TSA regulations, airport operations and similar types of security audits • Fluent in reading and writing in English language • Physically able to perform security audits. Physically fit is defined as being able to: stand or walk for an entire shift, climb multiple sets of stairs, escalators and ladders; withstand exposure to extreme weather conditions for an entire shift; open heavy entry and/or exit doors (e.g. steel or fireproof doors) • This position is subject to an annual physical examination to ensure not less than 20-30 corrected vision in each eye, no color and/or depth perception confusion or impairment; unimpaired hearing • US Citizenship requirement because of work on federal contracts • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test • Position is contingent upon award of pending contract for URS Job Description: The IE Division of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Security Auditor for immediate employment in the NY City office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in airport security, specific to protection of Port Authority facilities. URS is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. The incumbent can look forward to projects including security audit services for key clients.
• Thorough facility evaluations and security audits in accordance with Port Authority security procedures • Review facility security plans • Check TSR 1542, alarmed and access controlled doors/access points to ensure they are secured and functioning properly • Randomly sample fire exit doors to ensure they are alarmed and operating correctly. Check security procedures and response time by security staff in the event of a breach • Evaluate if security guards and airport personnel are complying with identification procedures • Observe security guard posts and remain overnight aircraft security procedures • Prepared written audit reports • Travel between various NY/NJ airport facilities to ensure coverage • Report to a URS security site manager • The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed above
