Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with emphasis on preparation of site plans and specifications for site development, airport infrastructure design, and underground utility infrastructure design. • Requires good computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office Excel and Word), but in particular, experience using AutoCAD in preparing site plans, grading plans and infrastructure design plans and details. • Working knowledge of Planning and Zoning requirements. • Working knowledge in preparing hydrology and hydraulic studies and design of drainage systems. • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Connecticut is required. • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. • This position requires successful completion of the URS Project Management Certification program within 6 months of date of hire. This certification program is a series of learning modules and is available on-line through the URS Learning Management System at no financial cost to the employee. The position provides an opportunity to expand your knowledge of the profession of civil engineering with potential to project manager.
• This position will provide civil engineering design and construction phase support for projects in CT and other New England states. • This position reports to the manager of civil engineering services. • Position may interact with client and regulatory agencies such as the CTDEEP, local municipalities, etc. Will interact with multi-discipline and multi office team within URS. Must be able to work efficiently in team situations. • The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to those stated above.
