Minimum Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related engineering or construction discipline
• Must have a minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible transit project management and construction management experience including minimum five years of construction and project related experience, as well as management of staff during the pre-construction and construction phases.
• The successful candidate will have direct demonstrated construction management experience on major transit-related projects specifically in the role of Contract Resident Engineer for an elevated/fixed guideway project. Demonstrated leadership in the successful delivery of large-scale transit projects as well as project delivery ranging from project management, construction management, and project controls for projects with a minimum construction value of $250M.
• Must have, or be able to obtain, a Hawaii PE or CCM registration.
• Must have demonstrated experience with FTA and Transit Agencies. Strong preference for experience with elevated guideway CM on heavy rail projects.
• Must have demonstrated project management skills.
• Must be a self-starter with excellent communication, leadership, planning, and mentoring skills.
• Must obtain a negative result on required drug screening.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.

The Pacific Sub-Region PM-CM Group of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Transit Construction Manager (Contract Resident Engineer) for immediate employment in the Honolulu, Hawaii office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in construction management specific to major transit projects focused on CM for elevated guideway projects. URS is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. The incumbent can look forward to leading the successful delivery of large transit projects while acting as the construction manager (contract resident engineer) for a $1B elevated guideway project.

Incumbent Responsibilities:
This is an opportunity to join our dynamic and growing Pacific Sub-Region PM-CM Group as a Construction Manager, based in our Honolulu, Hawaii office. This individual will serve as the Contract Resident Engineer for the elevated guideway CM project and will have a key role in expanding URS' business in a locally robust Transit market. Primary duties would include:
• Serve as the Contract Resident Engineer/Construction Manager, including all aspects of client and construction management services for the heavy rail, elevated guideway CM project for HART.
• Coordinate the construction phase of assigned projects, and lead the construction management team in the field.
• Manage the inspection and oversight during construction to include project controls.
• Plan, organize, and supervise project teams to ensure good contract performance.
• Ensure the delivery of high quality construction management services, on-time and on-budget.
• Strengthen client relationships and possibly function as a Client Account Manager for key clients.
• Assist our business development team in pursuing new Transit related projects with HART.
• Assist with strategic planning, work-sharing across offices, staff recruiting, and staff mentoring.
• Remain current on FTA policies and procedures that impact the implementation of transit
