Job Description:  CH2M HILL SharePoint Developers Jobs - San Francisco, CA
The Challenge: Our SharePoint developers are responsible for maintenance, enhancement and development of CH2MHILL's Program Performance Portal.

Typical tasks will include the following:
  • Design and maintain a data warehouse in SQL which acts as a repository of data extracted from third party application using API/web services as appropriate.
  • Design and develop routines to capture data based on needs.
  • Work with Program Management team to define system requirements.
  • Provide QA/QC for solutions developed and maintain technical documentation.
  • Under general direction, designs, implements and maintains complex databases in a client/server environment with respect to access methods, access time, validation checks, organization, security, and documentation.
  • The SharePoint Developer/Support role is involved with the design of the databases and working with the users to develop specifications; including maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring and standard procedures, and integration of systems through client/server database design.
  • You must be Competent to work on all phases of client/server database management.
A Degree in Computer Science or Math is preferred. Will consider equivalent work experience i.e. 10+ years in IT and 5+ years in SharePoint development/support and database administration and Microsoft SharePoint. This role requires a strong knowledge of: Microsoft SQL Server; relational database administration; theory and statistical analysis; computer hardware /software /networks /operating systems; excellent communication skills, self management skills; analytical and problem solving skills; system architecture skills; optimal resource management; a strong 'can-do' attitude; demonstrated experience in software development, deployment, integration, maintenance and support; adept at recognizing client needs and coordinating the design of enterprise systems that respond directly to these needs. Preferred location is Portland or Corvallis, OR or Baltimore, MD (No relocation assistance is available). We will consider other CH2M Hill office locations.

SharePoint Developers/Support:
  • Responsible for activities related to the enhancement, development, administration, deployment, maintenance and support of SharePoint applications, specifically CH2MHILL's Program Performance Portal. Duties will include a variety of technical, user interface, and written skills.
  • These include but not limited to:
  • Work collaboratively under general direction by the CH2MHILL's Program Management Portal lead to design, implement/deploy, support and maintain the Program Performance Portal based on SharePoint
  • Gather client/user requirements, analyze business processes, deploy and test applications to achieve goals and objectives
  • Deploy custom websites for management of client engagements on the Microsoft SharePoint platform
  • Develop SharePoint applications leveraging out-of-the-box SharePoint features, SharePoint Designer-created applications and custom component development
  • Design and develop ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) for managing the automation of data exchange between SQL Server and third party project controls applications
  • Manage and support SharePoint Portal implementations
  • Provide leadership and consulting in technical integration, governance policies, and design
  • Provide training of end-user functionality in SharePoint technology
  • Provide technical guidelines for administering SharePoint (primarily 2010)
  • Provide planning and project management support for clients/user
  • Develop technical and user documentation for Portal implementations
  • Train and mentor new staff and provide guidance for new client/user opportunities
  • Handles QA/QC functions
  • Designs, implements and maintains SharePoint application and complex databases in a client/server environment
  • Works with users to ensure SharePoint applications conform to needs
  • Work with the team to planning for migrating to SharePoint 2013

Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Microsoft: Office 2003/2007/2010, SharePoint 2007/2010/2013, Java Script, Windows Workflow Foundation, Visual Studio 2010, SQL 2005/2008, SQL Reporting Services, SQL Analytical Services, IIS 7 and Active Directory
  • Skilled in SQL, a .Net language preferably C#, a .Net framework 3.5 or higher
  • Strong data management skills
  • Familiarity with Sencha EXT JS
  • Knowledge of Primavera Contract Manager
  • Knowledge of Primavera Project Planner P6 for Scheduling
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management
  • Degree in Computer Science or Math or equivalent work experience i.e. 10+ years in IT and 5+ years in SharePoint development / support and database administration and Microsoft SharePoint

Associates or 2 Year Degree
