Our Software Sourcing and Procurement Analyst career path within our Indirect Procurement organization provides you with an opportunity to manage and drive a measureable improvement in CH2M HILL's indirect procurement strategies and initiatives.
You will provide software sourcing and procurement expertise in support of the mission of our Shared Service operations and internal customers. You should have specific work experience in global and domestic software procurement and a track record of delivering results. As a Software Sourcing and Procurement Analyst, you will be responsible for achieving annual cost savings by utilizing all levers of the software indirect spend category such as rate (price paid), demand management, service level agreement, and compliance management. You will be a member of a global team of indirect sourcing and procurement personnel. You will also use superior customer service and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Our Software Sourcing and Procurement Analyst:

Implements procurement strategy for both global and regional software procurements.
Develops procurement strategy for software license and maintenance agreements, SaaS agreements and related services agreements.
Leads or participates in projects and initiatives using established sourcing systems, best practices and project management methodology.
Negotiates contract terms and conditions, cost savings, service levels, and performance standards to meet desired outcomes.
Participates in meetings to communicate or collaborate on initiatives, project activity, supplier performance, management of software assets, and business planning.
Conducts on-going market spend and vendor analysis in order to develop, implement and optimize software management strategies.
Achieves cost savings and cost avoidance through creativity and use of effective software category management techniques

SPECIAL NOTES:

Basic Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years of purchasing experience, including sourcing, negotiating, drafting, redlining, and negotiating pricing of software license or IT agreements
Bachelor's degree in purchasing, supply chain management, business, finance, paralegal or other related field, or equivalent experience
Pricing analysis, negotiation and vendor management experience
Working knowledge of purchasing, finance and asset tracking tools such as Oracle Purchasing, IBM Maximo or Ariba Sourcing

Preferred Qualifications

6+ years of purchasing experience, including sourcing, negotiating, drafting, redlining, and pricing analysis of software license or IT agreements
Purchasing/ Procurement or paralegal certification from a recognized industry organization for Procurement or Paralegal professionals
Broad technical knowledge of the Software category and related work streams
Demonstrated results in a global supply environment
Ability to perform job functions with considerable independence and judgment.
Ability to participate on peer teams, sourcing events, and project teams
Well organized individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Demonstrated track record of high motivation and goals achievement
Working knowledge of Federal procurement regulations (FAR, DFAR)
