Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience or 10 years equivalent work experience required in Information Technology design, development, testing and evaluation of computer based systems. • Must possess experience in the use of current tools and techniques applied to the quality assurance, test and evaluation of hardware and software integration. • Knowledge of the following DOD and Air Force Instructions (AFI) required: DOD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Management; AFI 33-114 Software Management; AFI 33-115V1 Network Operations; AFI 33-115V2 Licensing Network Users and Certifying Network Professions; and AFI 33-138 Enterprise Network Operations Notification and Tracking. • Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II under DOD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program is preferred. If candidate does not currently meet IAT Level II, CompTIA A+ and HDI Helpdesk certification is required and candidate must meet IAT Level II within 6 months of being hired.

• Position will require the ability to attain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance. Job Description: URS is seeking a Journeyman Computer Systems Analyst to join our team in San Antonio, Texas!
Functions of this position include the ability to troubleshoot, track, and resolve end-user concerns; monitor, optimize, isolate faults and resolve back-end systems and services; monitor and optimize client system performance; develop and implement hardware and software upgrades; and assess, identify, and mitigate vulnerabilities within Air Force IT systems.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Serve as the initial point of contact for all client technology needs
• Provide client end-users with assistance in solving technology-related questions and problems, as described within Air Force Instruction (AFI 33-115V1) Network Operations as a Client Support Administrator
• Accepting phone, email and walk-in requests, receive, prioritize and resolve all user-related IT needs including NIPR, SIPR and JWICS networks account requests for activation, modification or deactivation; creation, modification, or deletion of security and distribution groups; restoration of user data; modifications requests to current hardware or software configurations; and hardware or software outages and faults-from initiation of the request through resolution to the customer's satisfaction
• Using server operating system performance metrics, monitor, maintain, and optimize client's file servers and networked printers, making recommendations for reconfigurations or upgrades to ensure the efficiency of these critical resources.
• Using fault isolation techniques, be able to expeditiously identify issues related to hardware and software malfunctions and misconfigurations; replace faulty components and modules as consistent with existing warranty limitations; and elevate requests beyond the assigned authorization to perform.
• Through the use of the Air Force's Remedy ticketing system, input, prioritize and track tickets requiring the assistance of external agencies, such as the 802CS, 690ISS, and Integrated Network Operations and Security Center (I-NOSC) West.
• Facilitate client's end-user and back-end technology requirements; assist in maintaining a complete listing of network hardware assets, software applications, and software license agreements assigned to client.
• In compliance with AFI 33-114 Software Management, maintain a library of all client-specific software requirements; install, configure and annotate configurations parameters that are in excess of the Air Force's standard desktop configuration; and validate software installations are in compliance with client's software license agreements.
• Provide specific hardware and software acquisition recommendations to ensure client local area network meets current and is prepared for future network requirements.
• Maintain the security of client's local area network and assist the Information Systems Security Officer in ensuring operating systems, applications, operating environments, and local procedures meet compliance standards with local, Major Command (MAJCOM), Air Force, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and DoD guidance, to include Security Technical Implementation Guides and Security Readiness Reviews.
• Upon notification from the I-NOSC, investigate identified systems which are compliant with patch/update policies and work to resolve client-side communications errors with the Systems Center Configuration Manager server to reinstate automate patching.
• Prior to requesting the creation of new network accounts, validate users meet the requirements of AFI 33-115V2 Licensing Network Users and Certifying Network Professions.
• In compliance with AFI 33-138 Enterprise Network Operations Notification and Tracking, report any identified or potential security breaches; distribute security information; and implement Time Compliance Network Order countermeasures and report compliance metrics.
