TNC ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Business Process Analyst works with a team of Business Process Specialists to support their work in leading and managing process analysis and design, and/or improvement initiatives that seek to solve strategic or operational challenges, resulting in recommendations for and implementation of improvement opportunities. The Analyst has basic understanding of the strategies, goals, actions and work processes of the Business Process Management Program and of the business areas in which the program is resourced to work. S/he is knowledgeable about the vision, strategies, roles, capabilities, services and technologies provided by TNC’s Technology & Information Systems (TIS) function. The Analyst assists in providing analytical support to process-focused project teams, including the mapping of business processes and key process performance indicators, and the identification and understanding of business outcomes, while also assisting in the identification and design of solutions to reduce costs, enable effective risk management, ensure quality improvement and to optimally align staff, processes and tools with the organizational mission, strategies and goals. S/he collaborates laterally with other TIS staff to identify synergies and leverage solutions across business areas. The Analyst assists in formulating and developing new or modified operational processes for and across business lines. S/he assists Specialists in working on problems where analysis of situations or data may require evaluation of intangible factors, leading to recommendations that could require introducing new technology, staff, ways of doing business, substantial change to current structure, and possibly require the application of organizational change management techniques. The Analyst provides support and assistance to Specialists and business partners with the implementation of the actions necessary to achieve the priority process design goals. S/he may be responsible for presenting formal written reports or presentations to project teams/project team members regarding the outcome of process analysis or proposed recommendations. This position reports to the Senior Business Process Specialist within the Conservancy’s Business Process Management program. S/he will work frequently in a team-based environment and therefore will work with volunteers / staff in cross-organizational and cross-functional teams. TNC BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
